Watech Electronics was founded starting from FABLESS in 2010, after more than a decade of ups and downs, it has developed into a platform based semiconductor company with core technologies at the bottom of multiple links in the semiconductor industry chain and coordinated development in multiple fields.
The development of a company can be divided into three stages.
Phase one，From 2010 to 2018, the foundation exploration phase. Taking advantage of the great development of China's 4G and 5G national independent communication industry, the company has developed a mature proprietary basic process platform with RF products in the communication field as the starting line. The RF products developed cover the public and private network communication fields such as base stations, repeaters, and walkie talkies, and have established deep business cooperation relationships with relevant leading enterprises. The R&D system has initially taken shape, consolidating the basic foundation of Watech Electronics' development.
Phase Two，From 2018 to 2022, in the stage of financing and entrepreneurship. With the suppression of high-tech industries, including semiconductors, by Western countries led by the United States, China has launched a bottleneck breaking project, and the semiconductor industry has entered a high-speed development lane. As a national semiconductor enterprise, Watech Electronics adheres to the original intention of independent innovation and relies on its profound accumulation in the RF field to win the favor of the first tier capital market, including national teams such as Guotou Investment Promotion, Guokai Fund, and National Integrated Circuit Fund. Watech Electronics has received investment from nearly ten investors in three rounds, injecting strong financial support into Watech Electronics' independent innovation. At the same time, Watech Electronics began to accelerate its business infrastructure layout and move towards diversification: establishing power semiconductor product lines, digital SoC product lines, and analog chip product lines, merging Huazhi Materials Factory, and establishing Yaohua Packaging and Testing Factory.
Phase Three, from 2022 to present, is the innovation and expansion stage. The company has developed RF, power SoC、 Six major products including simulation, power, materials, and packaging & testing service system. During this period, a large number of independent research and development were obtained; Industrialization achievements: possessing over 600 patents; We have established a complete industry chain in the field of RF and power devices, including design, manufacturing, materials, packaging & testing, and sales; The company's business scope has expanded from the initial communication field to various fields such as optical storage and charging, new energy vehicles, industrial control, semiconductor equipment, etc. In addition, in terms of marketing channel construction, the company has established overseas sales centers in the Netherlands, Sweden, South Korea, and Finland, laying a solid foundation for expanding international business.
